“I do get a sense (感覺)sometimes now among(之前) certain(某啲) young people, and this is accelerated(加速) by social media(社交平台), there is this sense sometimes of: ‘The way of me making change (去改變事情)is to be as judgmental as possible (有幾批判性得幾批判性)about other people,’” he said, “and that’s enough.”“Like, if I tweet(於 twitter 發佈) or hashtag(於 IG 添加標簽) about how you didn’t do something right or used the wrong verb(動詞),” he said, “then I can sit back(好舒服地坐喺度) and feel pretty good about myself(自我感覺良好), cause, ‘Man, you see how woke(對事件幾關注) I was, I called you out(公然批評).’”

Then he pretended to sit back and press the remote to turn on a television.

“That’s not activism(行動主義). That’s not bringing about(構成) change,” he said. “If all you’re doing is casting stones(拋石仔), you’re probably not going to get that far(去唔到好遠). That’s easy to do.”

“The world is messy(亂糟糟的); there are ambiguities(糊指之處),” he continued. “People who do really good stuff have flaws(瑕疵). People who you are fighting may love their kids, and share certain things with you.”
